FAQ
Q. Why do scales vary in price? "a scale is a scale right?"
A . "Wrong." Customers must seriously look at what their requirements are, but also consider the longevity of the system. An inexpensive system will cost more for maintenance and repairs, and inaccurate readings waste time and money. A few extra dollars up front can save you money down the road.
Q. Who are you buying from?
A. Investigate the suppliers you are dealing with, do your homework, how long have they been involved with weigh scales - ask questions, demand answers. Don't make a verbal super-deal with a salesman that may be gone when you need them!
Q. Where is your scale built and by who?
A. Make sure your weigh bridge is built by a qualified/certified company, not someone that fabricates in their back yard. Ask for documentation for fabrication, is the fabrication facility certified? are the materials to spec? are the welders certified? This will insure that you have purchased a product that is manufactured in the proper environment using the proper materials.
Q. What is the difference between our scale and others?
A. Send us your specifications and we will show you the differences.
Q. How do I know my scale is working properly?
A. Regular maintenance records & sticking to a regular testing schedule will alert you to any changes. Depending on the model, we recommend yearly testing and callibration for full confidence in your scale. Ask us about setting up a schedule.
